Treatment Approach

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
(CBT)
CBT focuses on identifying and changing negative thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. We'll talk about the thoughts and behaviors that aren't working for you and find new, productive ways of thinking and doing. CBT is an effective treatment for just about all mental health conditions.
Exposure Response Prevention
(ERP)
Considered the gold standard treatment for OCD, this is a behavioral therapy that involves exposing individuals to the feared thought, image, object, and/or situation, and preventing the compulsive behavior. The goal is to desensitize you to the situation so that it no longer triggers anxiety.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT focuses on accepting painful thoughts and emotions rather than avoiding or denying them. Acceptance is the most significant catalyst to change. Through acceptance, we become more flexible and adaptable which helps us commit to changing unwanted behavior.
